Choosing a diet can be overwhelming! Ranging from short – quick weight loss or change of lifestyle and/or fad, these days maybe from TikTok.

Diet product selection purchased at local health food store, drug store, online store, or recommended by a friend, T.V. commercial or magazine. We live in a current world full of “apps”. No shortage of variety from quick weight loss to complete diet/exercise plans.

How do you decide which one would be the one for you?

Not one diet/plan finds your personal starting point. I realized I have one, you have one, we all have one. I have learned there is nothing out there that helps you figure out where your starting point is before you choose your diet or plan that is specifically for you.

Most of the time we don’t start thinking about a change until we are faced with a challenge that finds us feeling ill or that overnight our clothes are too tight. It is then we decide which diet is the latest fad, or best commercial.

Your body needs preparation to be successful. Whether you are trying to lose weight for an upcoming occasion, or that NewYear’s resolution. It is vital to have a starting plan and point! The first step is to understand where your own starting point is.

So many times, choosing a diet or plan that worked for someone else is too much of a challenge for us or does not give us the response we were hoping for based on someone else’s results. Perhaps it was a diet you chose that needed an appliance and monthly boxed food. Maybe your doctor has suggested you start to watch what you eat. So, we try on our own to wake up the next day and figure out what food we hate the most and creatively cut it out of our diet, convincing ourselves that this is trying to eat better.

Maybe you follow the crowd and jump on the latest fad diet, choose the most popular and latest app for a diet plan. Jumping from one diet and plan to another.

How can you choose what is right for you if you do not have a starting point?

Don’t misunderstand what I am presenting here! I am all for the freedom to choose what diet/exercise or plan that is out there and will work for you and give you the greatest chance of success you can possibly have. What I am saying is find what your body needs and maybe better off without as far as macronutrients goes without pills or product first.

In a nutshell, which I will explain at a further date is finding the percentage of macronutrients your body needs or has been consuming too much of causing a roadblock in your weight loss and improvement for better health. After all, do you really want to keep buying a product or pill that helps you lose weight or special boxes of food that only work with the diet/plan you bought? For me the answer is simply, no, I want to eat real foods, no matter where I go or what event I attend and including the holidays (which are approaching fast)! Having the power in your own hands to control this journey is where I come in, I can help you figure out your starting point.
